Técnicas Reunidas publishes its Integrated Report 2023

Técnicas Reunidas has published its Integrated Report 2023, which presents a comprehensive vision of the Company, including both recent achievements and upcoming commitments of Técnicas Reunidas in its main areas of activity. Apart from explaining its financial and non-financial performance, this document analyzes and details the contribution of Técnicas Reunidas to energy transition and its positive impact on societies and the environment, containing precise information on such social aspects as human resources, environment, supply chain, R&D&I or relationship with local communities.

From a financial perspective, Técnicas Reunidas has expanded in 2023 its portfolio of projects with green hydrogen plants and carbon capture and storage facilities, which not only contribute to the decarbonization of the energy sector but also drive innovation and sustainable development. The 2023 Integrated Report highlights that the Company has generated ordinary revenue of €4,135 million and invested more than €12 million in R&D&I. These efforts highlight the commitment of Técnicas Reunidas to technological advances to offer its customers solutions allowing them to perform their decarbonization policies.

As shown in the report, during 2023 85% of Técnicas Reunidas´ purchases and subcontracts were implemented with local companies, which is more than €3.027 million. This boosted employment and sustainable economic development in the regions where the Company carries out its projects. In addition, almost €300,000 was allocated to social action projects, 50% more than the previous year.

Regarding environmental performance, the report highlights the Company’s efforts in reducing its carbon footprint and increasing clean energy projects. The Técnicas Reunidas President Juan Lladó said: “In 2023 we have advanced our decarbonization plan and validated our 2030+ 40% emission reduction targets and become Net Zero by 2040 with Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi). Our leadership in environmental performance has been recognized by the Climate Disclosure Project (CDP) scoring Técnicas Reunidas with an ‘A’, the highest possible rating.”

The employees of Técnicas Reunidas represent 80 different nationalities. The staff number reached a total of 8,490 employees in 2023 (now more than 10,000), an increase of 20% compared to 2022. In addition, the company increased its investment in training and development programs for its employees, reaching almost 300,000 hours, 17% more than the previous year. These efforts also include gender equality and diversity promotion in the workplace. In addition, the Company has approved a Human Rights Policy, strengthening its commitment in this area.
